The program is run by our Academy and Competitive coaching staff. Players are grouped each training day by size and ability. With a curriculum that is largely focused on ball mastery, individual technical skills and 1v1 battles, these sessions are designed to help players become more confident with the ball at their feet in game scenarios.

Note that while the Skills Centre consists of an additional training session for current AOJ Competitive or Academy players only, it is not formally part of any base Competitive or Academy program. Players must register for the Skills Centre program separately. Those participating in the Skills Centre will still be expected to fulfill their entire Competitive or Academy commitment.

      Staff Coach: Kylen Grant

Having spent her entire youth career at AOJ predecessors Cumberland United and Ottawa TFC, Kylen has returned to the club as a key member in both the innovative Sports-Études program as well as the club's Open programs. In 2019, Kylen was a starter on the OTFC U17 Girls team that won the club's first ever National Championship. After graduating from our High Performance Academy, she spent 4 years playing in the NCAA with Syracuse University, serving as a captain in her final year. Always returning home in the summers, Kylen has been a mainstay in both the club's Women's team and as a seasonal coach in the Grassroots and Open programs. With almost a decade of coaching experience at the club, Kylen is truly one of our own, and has a deep commitment to the club and its community. We are thrilled to have her as a part of taking the club to the next level.
