PAVEL CANCURA

General Manager

High Performance Coach

About Pav

Having played professionally in Czech Republic and at the NCAA D1 level with Liberty University, Pavel has developed into a highly respected coach and club builder. With experience in both Canadian and American university environments, he arrived at Cumberland United (now Atlético Ottawa Juniors) as the club's first Technical Director in 2009, at the age of just 27.

Since then, Pavel has led the club's meteoric rise from a local community organization to one of the most respected youth clubs in the province. While his contributions go much beyond what we have space for here, he has established a culture of passion and excellence while maintaining a firm values-based approach among players and staff.

A leader with a relentless eye for progress, Pavel has implemented a series of innovative projects at the club, including but not limited to the High Performance Academy, the Sports-Études program, the Orleans Dome, and the new Atlético Ottawa partnership (as well as our previous Toronto FC affiliation).

Holding a UEFA A license (amongst others), he serves today as the General Manager and is still heavily involved in coaching our Academy programs across the club.
