Our 4v4 Champions League sessions are all about getting the kids to simply play, get touches on the ball, and have fun! Players will be split into teams of 4 (may change depending on attendance) and will rotate through multiple short games. The focus is on maximizing touches and encouraging lots of free play, allowing players to enjoy themselves while improving their skills against a wide variety of opponents.
Sessions are run by our senior youth players, who are beginning their coaching journey at the club. These coaches are trained through Canada Soccer, and guided/supervised by our Academy staff coaches. If you are interested in helping as a coach, click here to visit our Careers and Coaching page.
Please note that the exact kickoff times remain to be determined, and registered players will be notified directly with any updates. All families can expect sessions to take place early on Saturday mornings, irrespective of age group.
Sessions will take place as scheduled on May 16th (Victoria Day weekend).
Staff Coach: Kylen Grant
Having spent her entire youth career at AOJ predecessors Cumberland United and Ottawa TFC, Kylen has returned to the club as a key member in both the innovative Sports-Études program as well as the club's Open programs. In 2019, Kylen was a starter on the OTFC U17 Girls team that won the club's first ever National Championship. After graduating from our High Performance Academy, she spent 4 years playing in the NCAA with Syracuse University, serving as a captain in her final year. Always returning home in the summers, Kylen has been a mainstay in both the club's Women's team and as a seasonal coach in the Grassroots and Open programs. With almost a decade of coaching experience at the club, Kylen is truly one of our own, and has a deep commitment to the club and its community. We are thrilled to have her as a part of taking the club to the next level.
