ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Rec Tech program is a great opportunity for players to gain an edge with a weekly skills development session! The sessions are  fun, productive and focused on technical training exercises (shooting, passing, dribbling, ect.). Sessions are overseen by senior technical staff with support from our best young technical coaches.

Players  will work hard and improve on their core skills needed to play the game!

INDOOR FALL PROGRAM

Eligibility: boys & girls born 2009-2017

Commitment: 1 session/week (Saturdays)

  • U10-U11: 9-10 AM
  • U12-U14: 11 AM - 12 PM   U15-U18 : 12PM-1PM

Season dates: Oct. 17 - Dec.19 (10 weeks)

Location: Orleans Dome

Registration fee: $220 or $400 for fall + winter

Eligibility: boys & girls born 2009-2017

Session format and methodology

The weekly 1-hour session consist of various skills exercises on a rotational basis. Players are grouped by age and gender and will get exposure to multiple coaches and facets of the game.

 

Sessions are overseen by senior technical staff and assisted by our most talented senior youth players, who are beginning their coaching journey at the club. Staff Coach: Kylen Grant

Having spent her entire youth career at AOJ predecessors Cumberland United and Ottawa TFC, Kylen has returned to the club as a key member in both the innovative Sports-Études program as well as the club’s Open programs.  In 2019, Kylen was a starter on the OTFC U17 Girls team that won the club’s first ever National Championship. After graduating from our High Performance Academy, she spent 4 years playing in the NCAA with Syracuse University, serving as a captain in her final year. Always returning home in the summers, Kylen has been a mainstay in both the club’s Women’s team and as a seasonal coach in the Grassroots and Open programs.With almost a decade of coaching experience at the club, Kylen is truly one of our own, and has a deep commitment to the club and its community. We are thrilled to have her as a part of taking the club to the next level.

Equipment needs

Players are required to wear the Open League uniform (given to players as part of the champions league program) along with shin guards and shoes (can be bought at any sports store) at all sessions. Soccer cleats are allowed and recommended for all age groups, but not officially necessary.

Applicable registration fees

  • Program fee: $220 per season or $400 for both (fall and winter)

 

Financial assistance: Atlético Ottawa Juniors works with valued organizations and community partners to help families needing support for their child (or children) to be able to play soccer and be healthy. Visit our Financial Assistance page for more information.

 

Withdrawals: visit our Refunds & Withdrawals page to request a credit or refund. All refunds are subject to the Refund Policy. Only approved requests will be processed.
