Players at this age are starting their soccer journey and need to develop their basic skills appropriately (including technical, physical and social skills). The weekly 1-hour session consist of various skills exercises as well as small games on a rotational basis. Players are grouped by age and gender and will get exposure to multiple coaches and facets of the game.

Sessions will start with small sided games, followed by two technical stations and will finish with another game format activity.

Sessions overseen by one of our senior staff and run by our most talented senior youth coaches. The coaches are trained through Canada Soccer, and guided/supervised by our academy staff coaches. Staff Coach: Logan Richardson

Logan has grown up at Atlético Ottawa Juniors and has been coaching in our Grassroots, Competitive and Academy programs for many years. His leadership qualities are apparent and he sets by example as a player and as a coach.He is continuing his coaching journey throughout university and is taking on more and more responsibilities at the club, including leadership roles in the Grassroots programs and Pre-Academy.

The registration fee includes a red Atlético Ottawa Juniors training shirt, shorts and socks. The uniform will be handed out during the first month of sessions - more details to be shared when confirmed. Only one uniform is provided upon the first registration.

Players are required to wear the uniform given by the club, along with protective shin guards and shoes at all sessions. Soccer cleats are allowed and recommended for all age groups, but not officially necessary.

Applicable registration fees

• Program fee: $220
  • Players can register for both Friday and Saturday sessions. This is done separately
  • A discount of $40 will be applied if a player registers for both blocks.
• Non-volunteer fee (1 per family per season): $60

Withdrawals: Visit our Refund/Withdrawal Form to request a credit or refund. All refunds are subject to the Refund Policy. Only approved requests will be processed. Note that evaluation fees are non-refundable.
